What Is the Advanced Bracket Maker?
The Advanced Bracket Maker is a full tournament builder that runs entirely in your browser. It supports three formats: single elimination (with optional 3rd-place match), double elimination (winners bracket, losers bracket, grand final and a winner-takes-all reset if the losers-bracket champion wins), and round robin with a live standings table. Brackets are drawn with real connector lines and match numbers, like the big tournament sites, in your choice of six color themes — and you can lay out single-elimination brackets double-sided, March Madness style, with both halves converging on a center championship. A Blank Bracket mode generates empty 4–64 slot brackets to print or save as a PDF and fill in by hand, and every bracket exports as a crisp vector PDF. Add up to 64 teams with random draw, fixed order or standard seeding, click teams to advance winners, record scores, then print — or copy a share link that opens your exact bracket, results included, for anyone.
How It Works
Enter your teams, pick a format and options, and generate. Click a team in any matchup to mark them the winner (click again to undo) — they advance automatically through winners and losers brackets, and changing an earlier result re-flows every match that depended on it. Copy Share Link encodes the whole tournament into the URL; Print Bracket makes a clean printout at any stage.
When to Use It
Use it to actually run a tournament — esports brackets, office ping-pong, game night, sports leagues (round robin), or double-elimination events where everyone gets a second chance.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How does double elimination work?
- Losing once drops you into the losers bracket instead of eliminating you. Survive it and you meet the winners-bracket champion in the grand final — and because they haven't lost yet, you must beat them twice: winning the first final triggers a winner-takes-all reset match.
- How do share links work without an account?
- The entire bracket — teams, format, results and scores — is encoded into the link itself. Anyone who opens it sees your exact bracket. No sign-up, and nothing is stored on a server.
- How is this different from the simple generator?
- The simple version draws a static single-elimination bracket you fill in by hand. The advanced maker is interactive with three formats, connector lines, click-to-advance winners, scores, seeding control, sharing and printing.
- How many teams can it handle?
- Up to 64. Byes are added automatically when the count isn't a power of two, and with standard seeding the byes go to the top seeds.
