- How does raster-to-SVG work?
- It traces the image into genuine vector paths (up to 32 colors), which scales perfectly and suits logos, icons and flat artwork. Photos become posterized art — choose Embed Original to wrap the exact pixels in an SVG instead.
- What is special about the ICO output?
- It writes a real multi-resolution favicon: 16, 32 and 48 pixel versions packed into one .ico file, which browsers and Windows pick from automatically. Non-square images are centered on a transparent square first.
- Can it write HEIC or AVIF?
- HEIC is input-only — browsers can read it here but cannot encode it. AVIF output works in Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave); others will show a clear message. TIFF converts in both directions, written uncompressed for maximum compatibility.
- What controls quality and size?
- JPG, WebP and AVIF use the quality slider (higher = larger, sharper). PNG, BMP and TIFF are lossless. GIF reduces to a 256-color palette, and each converted file shows its new size before you download.
