The Short Version

Almost everything TextKit does happens locally in your browser. The text and files you paste or upload into our tools are processed on your own device and are not sent to our servers.

Local Processing

Case conversion, formatting, encoding, font generation, image conversion and random generation all run client-side using JavaScript. Your content never leaves your device for these features.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage only for convenience features you control — such as your theme preference, custom terms, favorite fonts, and notes in the Online Notepad. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.

Advertising and Cookies (Google AdSense)

We display advertising through Google AdSense to keep TextKit free. When ads are shown:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other regions with consent requirements, you will be shown a consent message before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.

Optional Third-Party Services

  • Live market data. The Crypto Converter and Live Crypto Prices tools fetch current prices from the CoinGecko public API. Only a standard price request is made — none of your personal data or tool content is sent.
  • OCR. The Image to Text tool loads an open-source OCR engine (Tesseract.js) and runs it in your browser; images are not uploaded.
  • Libraries. A small number of tools load an open-source library (for example bcrypt) from a public CDN; this involves a normal web request to that CDN but none of your content is transmitted.
  • Contact forms. Messages you send via our forms are handled by a third-party form provider.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which tools are popular. This does not include the content you type into tools.
